About me

My name is Jason Plumb and I am a freelance designer looking for permanent employment. I special in product and furniture design and 3d visuals.

Since graduating from Nottingham Trent University in 2011 with a degree in product design I have worked self employed for the last 18 months freelancing for a number of companies and clients.

During my 18 months working self employed, I set up two successful businesses with a friend, including a 3d company and render farm business. As a 3d company we specialised in 3d visuals, product development, animations and more. The render farm business I helped set up, (RenderNow) has been extremely successful and is fast becoming one of the UK's most popular render farm services.

Since working self employed, I have gained invaluable experience within the design industry and learnt how to run a business, manage projects, work with multiple clients and insure deadlines are met. Though I have learnt much during my time working self employed, I now wish to find a job within a company, preferably in London where I can contribute my ideas and skills within a team and learn more about the design industry.

I am a very capable individual who is enthusiastic to learn more. I am exceptionally organised, hard working and have the ability to pick up new skills quickly. I use a range of skills to develop my ideas, from sketching, foam/card modelling and cad software whilst considering manufacturing. I am competent in 3D modelling software, particularly SolidWorks to illustrate my designs and produce technical drawings to an industry standard for manufacture.
