About me

I have worked in the retail industry for the last five years including my present role of sales adviser at Boden a clothes mail order company. During this time I have enjoyed offering the highest level of service to the Boden customers face to face and via telephone, building up rapport and developing relationships both with my team and our customers to encourage customer loyalty and satisfaction.

I feel I have learnt many new skills during my time at Boden. Based on the menswear department, I enjoy assisting the customers with their purchases, offering alternatives and suggestions. I am able to use Boden's internal computer system comfortably as I am able to learn new skills quickly. My skills have been enhanced even more during my part time role as a junior marketing assistant for leading provider of Internet search marketing solutions Camvia. My main responsibilities are to support the marketing team on a number of publications and liaising with sales contacts.

I believe I would be good for this role as I have shown outstanding organisational skills. During my degree I have been working part time along with a voluntary position and taking care of my young son. This has helped me develop the ability to prioritise and multi task and pride myself on maintaining high standards in all areas of my work and personal life.

During my media culture and communication degree I often use skills similar to the ones required for this role. During one project I had to create advertising campaigns for a niche in the ever growing journalism market for a proposed magazine and a short documentary based on urban music. I enjoyed this part of the degree, as it was a chance to get an insight into the magazines target audience and consumer spending.

I feel that this opening gives me the perfect opportunity to develop and improve the skills I have already gained during my media degree and my positions at Boden and Camvia.
