About me

My previous position at ParanoidUK has allowed me to develop my technical design skills 100%. From the way I have learnt to approach a brief to methods of research and influence towards helping to develop concepts. Here I have been able to work on such a wide range of projects, the main one which I was involved with being Urban Garden Magazine.

UGM is a bi- monthly hydroponics and lifestyle magazine. I had a lot of creative control over the direction of the articles and think that over the course of the 8 issues I worked on, the improvement in my skills is reflected in the quality of the magazine. I think the responsibility I had with the magazine helped me to recognise and focus on the areas I needed to develop the most. One of the things I enjoyed about the magazine was that I could apply styles and influences that I found interesting to make industry subjects which might otherwise be considered quite heavy reading, more engaging. I really enjoyed the challenge of this.

Other skills which I felt I improved during my time at Paranoid would include being able to handle several jobs at once, and organising deadlines. I also worked directly with clients which was something I previously hadn't done. And my eye for detail.

I am excited now to be at the position where I feel I can contribute something original and professional, . I am looking for designer position with a varied job that allows me to continue to improve my creative skills and processes.
