About me
An LA native, Jason Cook is an award-winning director, creative director and graphic designer who has spent more than almost 20 years working for some of the top design companies and post companies in the industry.
Graduating in December 2001 with a BFA in Graphic Design from Art Center College of Design, Jason started his career working as a freelancer in Los Angeles working around town. After 7 years he went out on his own and started NYLON with two partners in 2007. In 2010, Jason took an Associate Creative Director job at SUPERFAD and quickly amassed an impressive body of work contributing to campaigns for the likes of Coca-Cola, Pella Windows and Visa Olympics while directing spots for Fiat, THQ and League of Legends on the Mac, which he also wrote. He also began teaching design and animation courses at Art Center. In 2013 Jason left Superfad to once again freelance, this time as a creative director/director for Arsenal FX, Rabbit Content, Stardust, Troika, We Are Royale and others. He signed as a director with Mutt Film and then took an Executive Creative Director position at Flavor in LA. He also signed with Dictionary Films for commercial representation around the same time.
At Flavor and Dictionary films, Jason has helmed countless projects for Target, Ford, V8, ANA, , Honda, Systane, Chevy, Maytag, Walmart, Kelloggs and many more.
Jason is also actively writing and directing short films, one of which is currently out in festivals now.
