About me

Jason is a designer who explores 3D dimensional jewellery forms through folding and cutting circle strips in flexible sheet materials holding these forms with small industrial fittings. Engagement with the material is essential to the production of these pieces, understanding how a material forms under manipulation creates unique and original pieces.

Jason also works in lighting and sculptural forms with the same techniques.

Motivation

I am motivated to create interesting three dimensional sculptural forms through working with sheet materials and resolving them into salable products such as jewellery. I want to be able to learn as many skills as possible so I can develop my creativity and run a successful business. I am attracted to design as a means for a livelihood because it is something I enjoy doing.

Skills

I am able to meet deadlines and make decisions while designing. I have good skills on Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. Have good general construction skills across metal, wood and plastic.
