I should like to apply for the post of "Group IT Manager", as advertised on the creativepool.co.uk website, and attach a copy of my CV for your perusal.

I am a senior IT professional that has now attained over 19 years' experience of working within and directing technology within highly regarded professional businesses, 14 of which have been at a senior management and team leadership level (Head of ICT/IT Director/Support Manager).

My current position is IT Director for a Pan-European business called Unilabs, which I was recruited into back in August this year, having previously worked for nearly 6 years as Head of ICT for a professional charitable business called the Health Foundation. My time at the Health Foundation was spent developing Information and ICT strategies, building teams, management, governance, delivering cost efficiencies and delivery of highly regarded, reliable IT and Information systems/services that delivered true business value. The Health Foundation CEO (Stephen Thornton) has openly stated that the IT delivered was the best he had ever worked with.

I have a wide breadth of industry experience, this has given me a proficient understanding of the complexities, issues and potential contributions that ICT can make within varying sectors, although predominantly this has been closely aligned with Health and Healthcare sectors. Working within other various sectors has also provided me with a highly valuable insight into the different ways that IT is delivered internally to staff and externally to clients, and I take the best experiences from each role and add to my skills set.
