About me
I am aware of the way that we are constantly being fed visual messages wherever we go and are affected by what we experience. Being part of the process that connects people by visual communication is a responsibility I take very seriously and challenge every single day.
I would consider myself primarily a print focused designer. I have created graphic solutions for a range of printed media, including advertisements, brochures, folders, roll-up banners, large exhibition displays and 48/96 sheet billboard posters. All these require different knowledge to ensure the finished outcomes are of the highest quality. I have also worked on web-based projects, mainly editing and updating current live websites. I have created email-marketing campaigns, from brief to finished solution.
The skills I feel I can bring to your creative team are:
Communication - My professional manner towards everything I do is something I pride myself on. Whether it be talking through a brief on the phone directly with a client, sending concise and informative emails or discussing ideas in a studio environment, getting across my thoughts and understanding the requirements are essential skills I possess and are constantly improving on.
Sensitivity - Different situations require a different approach. I feel I am able to assess and adapt to the individual needs of these situations that arise on a day-to-day basis.
Self-Motivation - I am able to work independently on projects to make sure deadlines are met, setting myself realistic targets when planning work for the a day, week or month. I am able to organise and prioritise jobs in a constantly evolving workload.
Teamwork - My peers would probably best describe me as someone who is helpful, co-operative and a motivated team player. This is essential when working with a small team or a large organisation.
Technical skill - I have used Apple MAC's throughout my professional career and personal life. I have used InDesign and QuarkXpress to produce small and large documents in conjunction with Photoshop and Illustrator to add visual elements to these projects. I have created Word and Excel templates for clients to use as part of their corporate stationery. I use Apple's Mail programme for all email communication with clients.
