About me
Hello,
I am detail orientated and love to design, my experience as a stationery designer has taught me print production process how to design effectively. I am confident with the Adobe Suite and enjoy researching all the different ways of reaching the same conclusion. I adore paper, for me browsing stock in a stationery shop quite easily compares to a trip to a gallery. While others browse for the latest trends in fashion, I'm found feeling the texture and quality of paper stock.
While studying Graphic Design at Nottingham Trent, I specialised in typography with a keen interest in hand-illustrated lettering. After university I indulged in one of my greatest passions, travel, I spent just shy of three years overseas; three months volunteering in Zimbabwe, two years of working holidays in Australia and New Zealand and for six months I travelled South East Asia. Not only did I become more globally aware and confident, but I was exposed to a delightful array of art and design.
My professional experience has built my skills in communication, organisation and timekeeping. I have worked in high-pressure deadline focused environments and believe teamwork is of pivotal importance. I have recently developed my entrepreneurial skills designing occasion stationery and am supported by The Princes Trust enterprise scheme for young entrepreneurs. During this time, I have launched a range of customisable occasion stationery sold on Etsy and focused on business development and training.
I hope, after finding out a little more about me you are assured of my passion, convinced by my experience and left knowing I would be a valued member of any team.
