Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to you to apply for the role of Copywriter as advertised on creativepool.co.uk, ref AS, as I am looking for a new challenge and the next step in my career. After working extremely hard for the past 20 months in my current job it is now time to move on to a fast paced and more fulfilling position, and I believe that I would excel at meeting the requirements outlined for this role.
In my current role as head copywriter at amara.co.uk a luxury home accessories online retailer I deliver creatively appealing and commercially viable copy on a daily basis, engaging customers and ensuring consistent brand voice throughout. I work closely with relevant parties including the graphic design team to formulate new concepts and produce copy with proven results.
Managing all of my current company's copy, as detailed in my CV, I know how e-commerce companies can best utilise content. From understanding the ways in which information must be written for different purposes and audiences to having an in-depth knowledge of SEO, I know that I have what it takes to produce the best content for any given brief.
Bursting with fresh new ideas and passion for e-commerce I am also highly interested in and have a good knowledge of beauty within the retail sector. I have a particular interest in the fair trade and organic space, as I believe that creating sustainable and environmentally aware products is the future of the beauty market and what consumers want.
I am looking to further develop my copywriting skills into campaignable ideas as well as brand communications and believe I have the skill set to easily enable me to do this. I have a natural creative flair, fabulous organisational and multi-tasking skills, and believe I have what it takes to fulfil this position above all expectations.
