Hi there

I'm writing to apply for the E-Commerce Director role and attach a copy of my CV, plus some further information about my experience.

My digital experience, which now spans nearly two decades, has been solely gained working in highly commercial, branded environments and my responsibilities have consistently involved driving (and creating) significant revenue streams. Most recently at Tesco, I have learnt from one of the market's leaders, gaining an insider's view of what drives successful e-commerce activity. My focus has been on creating revenue streams from new activity and has ranged from personalisation and data-sharing to, more recently, digital health (an area of great focus for Tesco as they strive to differentiate their brand in a crowded food retail market).

Whilst at Tesco, I've led Product Development, Commercial and Editorial teams, plus data scientists, to create revenue growth in excess of £20 million a year through personalisation. This has involved considerable innovation to understand how best to create relevant, compelling user journeys for customers shopping online and on their mobile devices, and in marketing communications and social. I have also set the vision and strategy for Tesco's digital health portfolio, whilst overseeing its delivery to drive significant revenue and enhanced conversion rates on our food and non-food transactional websites.

At Channel 4, I led a team of 28 editorial + product development staff responsible for the Channel's digital products, including channel4, e4 and film4 - our focus was primarily on increasing digital audiences and creating new commercial opportunities.
