Dear Sir / Maddam

I would like to apply for the position advertised on the Creative Pool website. As you will see from my CV attached I have a long experience with photography and retouching. In 2006 I completed MA Photogaphy studies in London College of Communication (former London College of Printing). I have been full time employed by Tapestry as a creative retoucher in a photography and repro studio based in Dennis Publishing. The studio provides services to a variety of magazines both printed and web based such as Men's Fitness, Women's Fitness, Mac User, Pc Pro, Web User, iGizmo, Auto Express, Evo, The Week. I have also done for work for prestigious clients such as M&S, Clinique, Adidas, Asics, Footlocker. During my time in Tapestry I had chance to work on all sorts of genres and types of photographs. My duties included general repro and pre-press work as well as making of illustrations where my creative input was required. I regularly work on images used on the covers of the magazines. Being a retoucher I see it as a great advantage that I am also involved in fine art photography and have an experience of working in a busy commercial photography studio. It gives me deeper understanding of how photographers work and how images are constructed. I often work on the most challenging assignments given to the studio where I am employed. I am used to work in an environment where meeting of tight deadlines and good organisation is essential.
