Dear Sir or Madam,

RE: Application for Copywriter, Favourite People.

I am writing in application for the position of Copywriter at Favourite People, as advertised on the Creative Pool website. This position appeals to me as an individual who is passionate about writing. I have been attracted by Favourite People's unique identity and impressive range of clients and projects.

I am passionate about writing in all areas. It is my personal belief that the written word is an invaluable tool to help businesses gain new clients and grow faster. More specifically, I am fascinated by the way writing can be used in different mediums and through various channels, such as social media, in online publications and via audio quotations. This belief, along with my passion for writing explains why I wish to pursue a career with Favourite People.

As you can see from my CV, I can offer many skills that you are looking for. In my final year at University, I took on an extra-curricular writing project targeted at young children aged 4 to 6. I jumped straight into the project and adapted very quickly to writing for a specific audience in mind. I then pitched my project to a group of illustrators at the Manchester School of Art, two of which I am currently collaborating with to produce a completed project. This project has allowed me to gain experience in writing for specific audiences, carrying out research, working independently and working toward tight deadlines. I also regularly participate in and contribute to weekly writing workshops. This is another extra-curricular activity aside from my studies and has allowed me to become confident in producing short pieces of work under pressure. I believe these skills and experiences would be invaluable to me in the position of Junior Writer, when required to produce content under stringent deadlines and undertake other tasks such as proofreading, research, and transcribing interview recordings.

I am incredibly enthusiastic about working for Favourite People, and I believe I would make an excellent addition to the team as a Copywriter. I look forward to discussing this position further with you.
