About me
Dear industry colleagues, I'm James or Jimi, a Clios Hall of Fame writer, art director and creative director.
My career has leapt from agency (writer & AD, CD, ECD, and GCD), to client-side (brand equity director, head of marketing) and back again. Yet I'm happiest as a creative and positioning specialist, wrestling with a business or communications problem.
I'm grateful to be considered fast and rather effective by my peers - a good number of whom have been good enough to acknowledge the fact while serving on the industry's many awards juries.
My experience is best described as broad, extending to touch-points along the breadth of the customer journey - analogue, digital, experiential, environmental, events and activations, and even some product, packaging, customer experience, and environmental design.
I have held creative management roles at major and minor agencies and dealt with brands and clients from super senior to start-ups. And that's how I like it. Fresh, multifaceted, and entrepreneurial - which is why I'm always excited by the prospect of the next brief."
