I'm James Dazell — poet, writer, and creative director of POEMStudio, a platform for poetic filmmaking, publications, live work, and collaboration.. Working across poetry, dramatic scripts, video production, and interdisciplinary performance. Through my creative studio POEMStudio — which encompasses publications, video, live work, and collaborations — I work at the intersection of integrated art forms exploring narrative with deep cinematic poetry.

I have an informative background in art history, music, and visual design, From scriptwriting and poetry films to cultural essays and creative strategy, I help brands, filmmakers, and cultural institutions shape compelling, emotionally rich storytelling experiences.

I've worked with organisations like English National Ballet, NOWNESS, Saatchi&Saatchi, i-D, EMI, and Dazed & Confused, and my work has been recognised by the Prada Feltrinelli Prize. My YouTube channel brings this to a broader audience through poetic essays and cultural storytelling.
