About me

My name is James Woodgate and I have seen the advert for this position on indeed. I see this position as a great opportunity for me to develop my career in the design world. I graduated in 2012 with a masters in design from De Montfort University where I majored in Product and Furniture. Despite only graduating in 2012 I have gained a lot of industry experience by working as an intern at various furniture and product design companies.

I am currently working as a bespoke furniture designer at Paolo Marchetti interiors where I work on one off fitted furniture projects. This role has given me a lot of valuable experience in working closely with clients, this has enabled me to develop the way I approach projects. Over the two years in this position I have progressed within the showroom to a more senior role. I am in charge of training all new staff within their first six months within the showroom.

I am currently seeking a role that is more creative and will be more suited to the career path I wish to take. I want a position where I can grow with a company and have a large part to play within the growth of a brand. I see this as the perfect position for me to further my career and look to establish myself within a growing company. I think I would be very well suited to the position due to my experiences so far which have given me a wide range of skills which include knowledge of manufacturing techniques and also dealing with clients one to one.
