James leads the continuous evolution of R/GA in the EMEA region, ranking as one of the top creative companies in the world.
In 2006 James started at R/GA New York and soon afterwards became a founder of R/GA London. Under his leadership, the office has won every major industry award including Gold Lions, Gold Clios, a Eurobest Grand Prix, and been named Creative Review's Creative Agency of the Year, Campaign's Network Agency of the Year and their Innovation Agency of the Year two years in a row, Ad Age's #2 International Agency of the Year and Ad Age's #2 Global Creativity Innovators of the Year. The London office's work has also been core to R/GA being named as Leaders in Innovation by Forrester.
The R/GA London office now numbers 350 people, and oversees locations in Berlin, Bucharest and Istanbul. The company provides solutions spanning Ventures, Consulting, Architecture, Design and Marketing for client partners such as Disney, Dyson, Google, Nike, Samsung, Siemens and Unilever. James was the originator of R/GA's global partnership with Beats by Dr. Dre, building the brand through culture-defining marketing as well as designing the brand, product and launch of Beats Music, the innovative streaming music service at the centre of Apple's largest acquisition. He is proudly named on five Apple design patents for features within Apple Music.
James is a regular mentor on R/GA's Venture Studio startup accelerator programs, a Board Member of East London Ventures, and a member of the exclusive global business network: YPO.
Beginning his career at IBM, James has over twenty years' design experience creating innovative digital products and services, from America's first Online Banking system to the Order Management System of the New York Stock Exchange, and the ground-breaking Beats Music, James has designed solutions that have consistently helped companies capitalize on the disruption of technology.
