About me
With a background in both Product and Graphic Design, James is an internationally published, award-winning designer. He's been featured in The Guardian, Core77, Designweek and the BBC for his work on the crowdfunded, all-terrain wheelchair project SafariSeat, and alternative, sustainable fuel harvesting innovation The Berglar—for which he was awarded a finalist position in the prestigious James Dyson Award.
More recently shifting focus towards Digital Design and Art Direction, James has an extensive background in a wide range of creative disciplines. Having worked with numerous international clients including Nokia, Heineken, Mini, Bupa, Oculus, NHS, Honda, The Independent, All Nippon Airways and Southern Comfort to name a few—James helps to strengthen brand identities through creative, future-proofing propositions.
James spent the last year at Kemosabe—a full service creative agency specialising in advertising and experiential marketing, where he's been able to develop my strategic thinking and artistic style working alongside the Creative Director.
The attraction of elegant design for him is its universal appeal and application. In order to achieve this you must consider the wider context in which products exist and the entire ecology that surrounds them. Extensive travel, in addition to international study and work overseas, has opened James' eyes to new perspectives on how global design sits within cross-cultural experiences and how it transcends boundaries of culture, time and place.
