About me
My name is James Roberts-Scott and I am a digital and interactive publication designer that is passionate about pushing the boundaries of design, exploring the forefront of new technologies and trying to create solutions in a creative but functional way. I am currently based in London.I am currently searching for a Junior Designer Role at a creative agency.
I have recently graduated from university after studying and BA (Hons) in graphic design and achieved a 2:1. Within my time of being at university I have furthered my knowledge within various fields, which include interactive and print publication design, branding, web design and UI design to a comprehensive level. During the 8 years of studying graphic design I have also gained a comprehensive understanding of Adobe InDesign, DPS, Photoshop, Illustrator, MS office and Mag+ as well as gaining an intermediate knowledge of Adobe Muse, Flash, Action Script 3 and a basic knowledge of Adobe Dreamweaver, Edge Animate and Reflow. I am currently in an internship with The Team brand and communication agency, which I started at the beginning of September. This has given me an insight into how the industry works and during this time I have predominantly been working on UI and Web Design.
I have included my digital portfolio within the package I have sent to you. This includes examples of my experience within InDesign and Mag+, flash, illustrator, interactive publication design, UI design and branding. The example of my interactive magazine '320 Magazine' was made in mag+ however; I have converted this to Adobe DPS and used Edge Animate to refine the animations within it. There are subtle changes that I cannot show with still imagery. I do have an extended portfolio however I can not send this to you because of a disclosure agreement with my current employer. This includes a website design for a large government agency and a DPS interactive magazine prototype for a large caravan magazine. These two projects I can show in an interview if I am given the opportunity.
