ABOUT

A colourful set of playing cards, exploring the biggest environmental moments since the first Earth Day.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, Resources magazine asked me to produce a set of playing cards as a gift to accompany their latest issue. Each card displays a different notable moment in environmental history, and features seven topics including landmark policies, seminal research, notable events and environmental disasters, each of which is accompanied by an illustrative icon.

For the face cards, we focussed on some other notable milestones, as along with Earth Day, the EPA and Clean Air Act have also recently celebrated 50 years since their inception. These were brought to life through figures that depicted the legacies of these important environmental institutions.
