About me

Dear Sir/madam,

I am writing in application of the packaging art worker position. I am a recent BA (hons) Illustration graduate and have been a working practitioner for 12 months. I apply to Purple because I wish to expand my knowledge of design and keep myself abreast of the challenges undertaken when working in the creative sector.

Having just completed an art degree I can not stress enough how important it is for me to continue being a part of art and design culture and enhance my knowledge of the history and ever growing developments within any role in the industry. Outside of my degree i have been actively contributing to publications organised by myself and/or others all in aid of a greater understanding to how different sectors work, whilst producing work of my own.

I am predominantly a Mac operator, however completely computer literate in windows as well. I have a drive for technological intrigue and I am dedicated to and enjoy providing creative solutions to new problems. Problem solving is the inevitable task and I have grown into a clear, concise and logical mind. In the workplace I have always displayed a high degree of adaptability and rationale.

I consider myself to have always responded to working as part of a team with great enthusiasm even in most difficult of circumstances. I have demonstrated this throughout my working life, making sure that I work exceptionally within my own role and support all other members of the team ensuring that the job is completed efficiently and with accuracy.

Although i do not have a background in package design, within the time spent at Octavo-Direct Imaging i have gained experience and knowledge in the field. I am always eager and quick to learn and am full up with new, fresh ideas.
