About me

My name is James Cokell, I am a Graphic Design/Multimedia Degree graduate and for the last 5 years I have been the Curb Records UK in-house designer.

In my capacity as in-house designer in a record company my brief has been to take care of all aspects of design - incorporating CD artworks and booklets, DVD packaging, all print advertising and point of sale. Supplying visual and audio manufacturing parts to all overseas licencees. Attending and overseeing video and photoshoots both in the UK and USA. Authoring, editing and compiling retail DVDs. Setting up 2 FTP sites and the company website. I have also liaised directly with our recording artists and managers in all creative matters.

Although I have been part of a team in a small fast-paced independent I have been solely responsible for all things creative, within a relatively limited spectrum. It has been an exciting and educational 5 years but it is time for me to move on and I want the challenge and stimulation of being part of a creative team and I think I have something to bring to your company. I am completely familiar with the design programs that you use and experienced in dealing with printing companies. I am used to turning work around within time restraints and am committed and adaptable.
