About me

I am a professional illustrator and creative art worker based in London. I worked in the design industry for five years as a freelancer before forming my own company in January 2010. Since then I have been contracted by a number of prestigious clients including Namco-Bandai and the Royal Society in both a creative and consultancy based capacity. Although I have enjoyed success as a self-employed illustrator I am now looking for a permanent position as part of a design team as I believe this is the best way forward for me professionally, artistically and personally.

I work to the deceptively simple ethos that nothing is impossible and the needs of the client come first. In my professional career I have always jointly prioritised creative flair with reliability and over the years I have garnered a reputation as someone who can be guaranteed to produce quality artwork to a set deadline. I also like to think I put the needs of a job before any personal artistic agenda.

I am a friendly, approachable person who thrives on variety though prefers to work within a structured environment. I honestly believe it is a vital artistic skill to be able to receive and incorporate constructive input and criticism and I find it rare that there is ever only one answer to a specific problem. I enjoy working with people and am able to liaise directly with existing clients as well as recruit new ones. I have the patience and professionalism to work in a high-pressure environment alongside others and I am well practised at that most vital of inter personnel skills, the well-timed cuppa.

I can work to a high level with Adobe CS5 as well as a number of other pieces of graphical software such as Coral Painter, Sketchbook Pro and Manga Studio as well as Microsoft Office. I am also proficient with more traditional artistic materials such as pencils, charcoals and inks. I believe there is always something new to learn and am constantly attending classes, exhibitions and lectures that I feel could expand my skill set or simply inspire a new direction.
