About me

I am a passionate and creative illustrator who lives by the mantra ‘nothing is impos­sible'. I believe illustration is as much about problem solving as the creation of attractive artwork and I have a good eye for what style is the best fit for the brief. I believe hard work is the one and only key to success and that natural talent can only get you so far.

I thrive on variety though I enjoy a struc­tured environment. I am a good listener and welcome the opinions and ideas of others. I feel the best place for an illustrator to work is within a team of like-minded individuals and that truly great illustration requires the input of more than one person. Having said this I am comfortable working under my own initia­tive and I like to think I work to the needs of the job rather than my own agenda.

Though I work primarily in the digital media I am able to produce quality artwork with more traditional materials. I find all media have their advantages and disadvantages and I enjoy utilizing the positive aspects of one to overcome the negatives of another. I am continually working to improve my abili­ties and regularly attend courses and drop-in classes either to learn new techniques or perfect old ones. I cannot envisage a time when I would ever consider my education ‘finished' and if my hands are free I'm gener­ally sketching something.
