I am writing to you because I believe my ideas, dedication and flare as a graphic designer will allow me to significantly contribute for the role you have advertised.

If you are seeking a highly skilled and motivated person to design and graphically convey the identity of a corporate image to a selected target audience, I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss the role. The accomplishments noted with the accompanying resume will illustrate the value and vision that I can bring as an individual.

For the past 5 years I have worked on various creativity projects, from the design and build of numerous partnership websites to the design and print of large scale adverts and banners. I hold a deep understanding of how to utilise design concepts in order to deliver a successful project.

I currently work for Birmingham City Council and a small live events company called Filmrats. My work heavily involves the creation of tickets, posters, flyers and all other promotional literature. I'm responsible for the production of events from viral marketing through social networking, to identifying opportunities for new events. Another deliverable has been to design and develop numerous websites, including graphics. I am fluent with Adobe Creative Suite with a strong emphasis on Photoshop, illustrator and Indesign. I also understand how to design for print using various media.

In reviewing the attached resume, you will note that as well as working for Birmingham City Council and Filmrats I am a freelance graphic/web designer and Promoter/Organiser. This has given me the opportunity to create unique identities and branding for various clients including educational establishments, live events, cleaning consultants, photographer, musicians and a film producer. Furthermore, I am multi-task orientated, enjoy challenges, and continually stay abreast of the latest design, advertising and marketing trends.

I am confident I have the capability to pick up any new skills which would be required in a new role, as I appreciate every organisation is different.

I am the owner of a vehicle and have a clean driving license which I have held for over 10 years. I am flexible if the role requires travel to other sites. I am also flexible with shift patterns if this is required for the role.
