About me

I am a highly motivated Professional Photographer and Retoucher based in London.

I have a great deal of studio photography and assisting experience and I'm fully qualified with all formats and lighting equipment (including digital SLR's and digital backs). I spend most of my time professionally shooting portraits and editorial work, my own personal work is more fine art based though many of these personal projects have been conceptual still life shoots in the studio.

I have 7 years of experience with Adobe Photoshop (inc CS5) I also have several years experience with Bridge, Flash, Dreamweaver and several other software packages (on both Mac and PC). I have a firm understanding of efficient file management and workflow and I have a calm and highly approachable demeanour which keeps the environment friendly and professional.

My retouching experience comes from processing my own work and product photography commissions. I have the skills to: remove unwanted objects from an image, colour correct, enhance elements and remove blemishes on skin and other surfaces as well as more advanced masking and manipulation tasks.

I also design and build websites so I know the requirements and limitations placed on images when used in this context. What is unique about my qualifications is the fact that I have a solid understanding of both photography, retouching and computing so I can produce an image and understand how to make the best of a subject given the limitations of a certain medium. I can also see how the images are going to be presented so I have a solid understanding of the process from beginning to end.

I have good communication skills, I'm approachable and friendly and I really enjoy working as part of a team. I try to let my work speak for itself, I always put 100% in to the projects I undertake and I insist on getting the very best possible results.
