About me
Dear Sir/Madam,
I have seen your advertisement for a Designer and would very much appreciate your consideration for this role. I am a designer and artworker with digital and print experience who, after having spent time as a creative for the insurance sector, would like a role that is more imaginative, challenging and rewarding.
Upon completing my foundation diploma in art and design I began my career as a junior designer at Perception Advertising. After a year I decided to pursue my personal interests and studied for a two-year theological diploma. Over this period I had a few part time working roles alongside freelance design projects for clients such as Ford, Volvo and DHL. Since finishing the course I have worked as a designer and artworker for the digital solutions division of multinational information technology company CACI, designing and testing email campaigns. After my contract ended with them at the end of March I have been freelancing for Brighton-based creative agency Graphite Digital.
I now want to focus on my long-term prospects, plant my feet and build upon my experience, while strengthening my skill set and developing my career as a Designer.
I have excellent Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign skills, as well as a solid knowledge of Flash, and have experience of working processes in both digital and print. I am able to provide quick and innovative solutions to problems and work hard to meet tight deadlines, while insisting upon a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in my work. I am certain that my determination, enthusiasm and commitment to excellence would make me an ideal candidate for your department's needs.
I would welcome the opportunity to discuss the potential for a position with your company. Please find my CV attached with a link to my online portfolio. If I can provide you with any further information please let me know.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours Sincerely,
James Coppeard
