About me

I am applying for the Film Production Assistant role as it sounds like an extremely exciting and varied role, which will let me draw on many different skills as well as developing them with in an inspiring media environment.

When it comes to organizing equipment, making sure all paperwork is completed and that the clients are happy, is where I excel. I always keep a level and love working in a team.

I feel I am best described as being organized, highly driven and flexible.

Whilst working at One Dog I would look to achieve a better understanding of the media industry and how different areas such as video and audio start from being an idea to a finished product for the client. I am looking to make some valuable contacts and kick start my career leaning from people I aspire to be like.

I graduated from Southampton Solent University with a 2:1 in BSc(Hons) Live and Studio Sound. Since then I have been working freelance as a Production Runner and Crew member at Southampton Guildhall. This has entailed doing tasks for the band and organizing various bits of equipment working on a tight schedule. When working for the crew I have had to help set up the video screen, lighting rig, backline and front of house.

I have held a full clean driving license for 4 years and I own a reliable car. I live in Croydon so travelling around London is not a problem for me.

Although my background is sound recording and postproduction, I am very keen to learn shooting and video post-production as I want to gain knowledge and experience in different parts of the media industry.
