About me

My name is James Owen, I am looking for a new challenge and feel that my previous experience would make me a suitable interview candidate.

My career has encompassed a wide range of creative activities: from devising, presenting and producing campaigns for radio to producing magazine articles, reviews and interviews. I have also produced point of sale material for Waterstones.

I am comfortable 'selling through' creative work and I have held meetings with clients such as Wigan Athletic, Greater Manchester City Council, Sheffield City Council and Chelsea FC.

I recently produced Waterstones in-house magazine 'Between the Lines', this was a huge project that had a print run of 600,000 and was distributed nationally.

I am used to working under the pressure of a tight deadline, an ability that was honed during my time as a radio creative.

Outside of my employment I produce music and I was also a member of Frank Sidebottom's band from 2005 until his untimely death in 2010.
