I am writing in response to your advertisement for the Graphic Designer position.
I am upcoming Graduate on the University of Bath Spa within the next month. I have been studying Graphic Communication in education for the last 5 years and have also gathered a great deal of experience working for clients and companies such as Microsoft MixRadio, which I have been working for over the last 8 months and also producing various pieces of design to help produce a website for a Rail Company.
I have become highly proficient in most Adobe CS programmes such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and After Effects etc on both Mac OSX and Windows. I am able to work under pressure to tight deadlines and ensure the work is produced at the highest level. My key passions in design are Typography, Packaging, Branding and Illustration.
Whilst I am currently working for MixRadio I have been creating various promotional print design posters for the company. I've also been using Adobe After Effects to a very high standard creating animations, kinetic typography and filming/editing live acoustic performance for various popular artists. I've also been working with Severnside Community Rail Partnership whilst being at University alongside working with MixRadio, which has involved helping them rebrand and develop their website, which has mainly required designing illustrations for school ticket banners, various cities on the rail way line for ticket passes and other various pieces of logo/design work to create a more visually attractive website for their customers. I enjoy working in a creative team and have the ability to communicate with managers and colleagues alike as my referees can confirm. I also like to consider myself a very quick learner and I'm very willing to learn new skills all the time to better myself as a designer in the industry.
I have an online portfolio and website which the details are included within the CV attached below but I can also send over a PDF version if required. I can also bring my complete portfolio to an interview, which I would look forward to having the opportunity to do so as I feel I could bring fresh, new and creative ideas to your company.
