About me
Charles Bukowski once said: An intellectual says a simple thing in a hard way. An artist says a hard thing in a simple way. The meaning we might give to these words can change the perspective in which we even see the world, the way in which we want to interpret our world through art. I reckon less is always more when talking about art.
Personally, I do believe art can be a jigsaw puzzle where all the pieces have to match in order to recreate something truthful, like in portraits, I have experience on bidimensional as well as tridimensional portraits, always bearing in mind what material I am working with, and working both in digital and traditional formats, mixing them up to compatibilize them and not to confrontate the possibilities that we have if by unifying them. I am also extremely aware of the importance of being well organized and paying attention to details that might be unnoticed to others.
My fields of study have mainly been focused on human shape and its interaction with the environment. During this process, I have learned how to manage with classical ways of modelling, sculpting and drawing. However, my interest for new technologies, have always driven me towards new ways of expressing myself with the language of art. It is always difficult to set one's goals in life, when there are so many aspects yet to be developed in every single artist. Nevertheless, my interests and my experience take me to illustration as one of the most interesting and motivating fields of work.
That is why, I think I could really be an asset to you, since my classical education and my digital experience make me the perfect candidate to always live up to expectations and make the most out of any work of art I may have to perform.
Yours sincerely
Jaime.
