Dear Sir/Madam,

Please find attached my CV and an photograph of a piece from my graduation show applying for a position as a Garment Customisation Workshop Assistant.

Iâ€(TM)m particularly interested in this position, which relates strongly to my 3-year course, BA Fashion Design.

Iâ€(TM)m currently working part-time at Tesco, a part-time position I have had for the last 6 years while I supported myself through college, University and now internships. My work at Tesco has been rewarding and productive as it has given me a chance to become more confident, interact with in a team as well as have individual responsility. I have recently returned from a third summer working at a summer camp in California and travelled around America, an experience that has given me the courage to step completely out of my comfort zones and use my skills gained, to make my mark In the industry I have worked hard to get in to and look forward to making my mark on.

The position has a definite correlation with my practical knowledge. Youâ€(TM)ll see from my CV that I have recently graduated in Fashion design and after a lot of hard work I won an achievement award for my collection at my graduation fashion show, I also came runner up in a childrenswear company, Mudpie, competition which lead to work experience with the company, I was chosen in my class to be team leader for a group in my production class and also chosen to be a mentor to two level one students.

I am aware having only recent completed University that in order to make my mark in the fashion industry I need to gain experience, going straight from the somewhat controlled environment of university in to a high flying industry job is unrealistic, my objective is to gain knowledge of the fashion world for those who have learnt first hand and have knowledge to give and hope to continue to learn by starting in trainee positions, graduate opportunities and even internships to get a hands on view then to go on to use all I have learnt and work my way up in the fashion industry. I however feel that I am well qualified to make an effective and useful contribution to your team and Iâ€(TM)m enthusiastic about the chance to participate in a meaningful role with an industry leader in the field.
