About me
I graduated from the University of Cape Town with a 1st in Fine Art (BA Hons.) in 2011, majoring in painting. I have a good working knowledge of contemporary art and art history, both from a theoretical and technical standpoint, and I am extremely confident in my ability to render representational form in any medium.
I come from a family of designers, artists and ceramicists in Cape Town, so I have grown up with a deep understanding of ceramics, art and design. I managed and promoted my own sculpture courses, in addition to teaching art classes to adults and children, both privately and in large public groups.
I have also worked extensively within large sports federations. I was the chairperson of University Sport South Africa Fencing for three years, a position usually held by a member of staff. I was responsible for all aspects of university fencing in South Africa throughout the year and worked within the larger framework of the various South African sports governing bodies. I am currently the national captain of the South African Fencing Team.
I have solid Photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator skills in addition to the standard Office suite and all social media.
My unique background as both an artist and an elite level athlete, gives me a unique ability to overcome difficult problems creatively in order to accomplish my goals. I am an outgoing person who enjoys working and interacting with the public and believe I can provide exceptional client service.
