About me

I think I would be ideal for this position because I'm organised, a strong communicator and I'm very good at hitting deadlines when required. I try and plan ahead and prioritise to ensure that everything is completed on time and to the best of my ability. I have demonstrated this formulating a number of schedules during my time at Booking. I think this would be a valuable skill for this position because I can bring methodical approach towards the role. Being a strong communicator amongst my current team members will also help because I feel that I would be able to confidently convey any messages necessary regarding content.

During my time at Booking, I have been given a lot of responsibility on a range of projects including designing and writing a monthly newsletter for UK hoteliers which is created using Photoshop, and sourcing property photos for a social media campaign. I have most recently structured a plan to tackle the on-going issue we have within the UK in obtaining room sizes for properties.

Although I had created mass newsletters in the past, I originally had no experience using Photoshop at all. In order to maintain the high standards already set by my predecessor, it was a skill that I had to pick up fast, demonstrating my quick learning ability.

Although I would consider my skills within SEO to be basic, I am familiar with a number of the common phrases used within SEO. I also understand how search works.

I am highly motivated for this role because I have an incredibly keen interest in sport and writing. I am an avid football and American football fan. I've always found it fascinating to find out what actually attracts a customer to a webpage, and what search terms might have lead them there.

Working in content, one of the most rewarding things for me is knowing that the text I have written is engaging and thought provoking. Obviously, above all, I care about ensuring that the content I have written is not misleading and incorrect.

I also have a keen eye for detail. At Booking and at Play I have always been quick to notice any changes implemented on the websites and whether A/B testing is taking place. If something doesn't seem right to me, I'll make people aware before it harms the business.

Prior to working at Booking, I worked in the Quality Assurance department for a pharmaceutical company ensuring medicinal batches were manufactured correctly, so quality has always been one of my priorities.

In light of this, I would relish the chance to get my teeth stuck into this new role. I think it could allow me to spread my wings and show what I can do, if given the opportunity.

I hope I can be considered for this role and I look forward to hearing for you soon.
