About me
Jack's interest in sound developed during his degree in Creative Music Technology at Falmouth University. During his time there, he developed a keen interest in audio, specifically post-production and the relationship between sound and moving image. In August 2021, Jack moved up to the role of Sound Designer at Wave. Since then he has built up an extensive list of loyal clients working with some of the top advertising agencies and production companies both Globally and across the UK. Working on high profile brands such as Gymshark, American Express and more recently Shell
Throughout his time at Wave he has had the good fortune to work closely with the Wave Film department, notably on the feature film Ammonite with sound designer Johnnie Burn (Dir. Francis Lee, 2020). During this time he was able to develop and hone his skills and pursue his interest in longform sound. As well as working on advertising campaigns and feature films Jack also loves working alongside filmmakers on passion projects and short films - particularly those with a socially conscious message.
When working on projects that require more bespoke sounds Jack will often take recording equipment on location to gather new material for inspiration. These trips have taken him everywhere from the muddy banks of the river Thames to the remote Scottish wilderness. Collecting as many original sounds as he can and trying to find interesting and innovative ways to use them.
