Hi,
I'm a young and thirsty Front-End Developer, with 4 years industry experience, with a client list that includes Jaguar Land Rover, Ford, Vauxhall, Mercedes-Benz, Continental Tyres, Taylor Wimpey, Bloor Homes and many others.
I have a real hunger for front-end development, and am competent in JavaScript, as well as it's extended frameworks (jQuery, Moo etc), and am very interested in coding creative and interactive experiences. I have a bulletproof Photoshop & CSS background (It's actually my favourite language), and am as comfortable supporting older browsers (where a brief calls for it), or using the latest technologies, from CSS gradient masks on HTML5 Video on newer Webkit Browsers, to the emerging WebGL and Canvas standards.
I am currently championing a 'creative-coding' process, where I design directly in code, and build a rapid prototype that a user can engage and interact with early on, before the look and feel clouds what's really important, getting the user to content, in as few steps as possible, and looking great while doing it!
This means you can really focus on creating an interactive and immersive experience for the user, and I'm a firm believer in using CSS to replicate as many creative styles as possible, rather than use images, to keep page load times down. I do also understand however, due to redraw rates in certain browsers, when this is appropriate, and when this is not.
I absolutely love what I do, and can't imagine doing anything else, and really want to take a step up now I have moved to London, and sink my teeth into something new and exciting, but challenging also. I think I would be perfectly suited to this role, and would love the opportunity to come and talk with you more about this role!
