About me

Hi,

My name is Ivan Gaskell. I currently live in Cambridge, UK, and would like to work for a different and exciting company.

I have 3 years industry experience, but have been doing 3D for 7 years, first staring off like a hobby. The programs I use are mainly 3Ds Max/Character Studio, together with ZBrush and Photoshop.

For the last 2 years I was working in the games industry, for a start up company, where I was doing a lot of different jobs, including training staff, outsource management, modelling, animation and marketing art. I also have a year experience working for a visualisation company ( * ), where I was doing 3D work. I am use to tight deadlines, and I can stay focused in a pressured environment.

I am a very keen photographer, mainly as a hobby, but took it a bit more seriously a year ago. In 3D, lately I focused more on character modelling (as the standard of characters needed to be stepped up for the previous company), but I have extensive modelling skills in organic and non organic assets. Also, animation is one of my strong points as well. New techniques and programs do not intimidate me, in fact they motivate me to learn and do more. The renderers I mainly use are MentalRay and VRay.

After 3 years of industry experience, I realise what is important. To work in a team for a company where my creative initiative, ideas and a genuine enthusiasm would allow me to progress.
