About me

My name is Isi Rodríguez, I am an experienced graphic designer and illustrator, I was born on the island of Tenerife, Spain and I moved to London to complete a scholarship in the framework of the Erasmus + mobility program. Studying Graphic Design at the Polytechnic University of Madrid , Video and television production at the Municipal Center of Audiovisual Technologies in Madrid, Traditional animation and cartoons at La Mirada Producciones in Tenerife. I recently graduated in Plastic Arts and Artistic Ceramics Design at the Fernando Estévez School of Art and Design Superior in Tenerife, obtaining a European scholarship, being awarded as finalist of the Josep Albert Mestre Awards 2019 for my final project "Traditional water purification systems and ceramic filters" celebrated in Palma de Mayorca, Spain.

My professional career is based on artistic creation and audiovisual communication. Founder and artistic director of "Vulcania", one of the pioneering events of electronic music and digital art on the island, I have also directed my own radio program, I have been a musician, composer, sound designer and video artist, making visuals artists such as Kidloco, Tony Thomas, Dj Professor Angel Dust, Alexander Kowalski, Dean Coleman and John Dahlback among others. Throughout these more than 15 years of profession I have had the opportunity to collaborate with artists from different disciplines and provide graphic design, editorial, branding and illustration services to a large number of clients and companies, both public and private.

In my new artistic adventure as a potter so far, I have been fortunate to train under the tutelage of great master potters such as the traditional Canarian potter Manolo Afonso, author of the book "Greda" and of which I was an apprentice. years, Encarna Soler in Alicante, Ramón Fort School House in Girona, and more recently with internationally renowned potter Lisa Hammond, who was kind enough to accept me as an apprentice during the months of June, July and August of this year.
