About me
I Graduated in Product Design from The National Institute of Design, India in 2006. After which I worked in a design studio, Desmania Design Pvt. Ltd., India (*) as an industrial designer for a period of 2 years. During this period I worked on various projects related to packaging design, consumer products, FMCG products, industrial products, industrial clay modeling for automobiles, and retail design.
In December 2009, I completed my Masters in Design from the Domus Academy, Milan which is validated by the University of Wales, England. I got a chance to work with studio Lorenz-Kaz, based in Milan, Italy. Currently I work as an Independent Design Consultant.
My Belief: I believe that it is easier to find opportunities than finding the right concern. And to find the concern one needs to be able to interact with different sets of users, understand their needs and find one's focus. For this, one needs to do an in depth analysis of their surroundings to create a product, simple yet very functional that may change the way of living. This ability to keep a broader perspective in mind and incorporating one's experiences and learning is what enables me to tackle the upcoming challenges using strategic alternatives and innovations that help me design at a macro level. Thus I feel it is necessary to provide a holistic approach to any opportunity that may arise and by taking it beyond its very function we can call it to be a complete design. If this is not achieved, then the product is just planned.
My Goal: I wish to work with companies and institutions, which do not design solely for the expectations of the client, but also look at Design from the point of Innovation. And while doing so look at the complete life cycle of the product.
