I write with interest regarding your vacancy for Creative Artworker
As you can see by my portfolio and CV, I have more than 12 years of experience designing monthly and bi-monthly magazines, as well as magazine supplements and marketing material. This also included a monthly woman's lifestyle magazine cover, editorial pages and adverts.
Whilst I have worked in the publishing industry I have develop a great eye for detail, a creative natural design flow, being self-motivated and also being organised, which allowed me to create exciting layouts even in tight deadlines.
During my career I have gained effective skills, knowledge and experience in the following, which match the requirements of the vacancy:
- Proficient in using Adobe Creative Suite: including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat.
- Communicating and discussing synopsis with editors, publishers, senior managers, advertising clients, printers and freelance personnel.
- Work with multi page documents and templates following company guidelines.
- End-to-end magazine production, including repo and PDF production.
- Sourcing, selecting and retouching images from stock websites, image banks and as well as freelance photographers.
- Being a team member and work alongside with a diverse team of writers, designers, managers and interns.
Above all, I am passionate about good design, photography and being creative. I am confident, fast and ingenious in my design work; which I produce with a positive approach.
