About me
Ioana [EE W AH N AH] Selaru is a Romanian composer, violinist and string arranger. Her compositions are a mix of classical styles and vocal textures combined with experimental processing techniques. Based in London, she has worked on a wide range of projects including films, commercials and podcasts.
Recent work includes the 12-part ecothriller The Last City (Wondery) starring Rhea Seehorn (Better Call Saul), Maury Sterling (Homeland), Jeannie Tirado (Fairy Tale Zero), Skye Lorie (The Pillars of the Earth), Celia Rose Gooding (Star Trek: Strange New Worlds). Other work includes campaigns for Adidas, DAZED & Converse, and Amazon Books, which was nominated for the Young Arrows Awards in the Original Composition category in 2023.
Additionally, she has been fortunate to receive mentorship from Max Richter and often performs with renowned artist, producer and multi-instrumentalist Mansur Brown.
