About me

My name is Stephen Banks and I am a fresh and intelligent third year
Graphic Design student at the University of Wales, Newport. I am
currently at a high 2-1 level, aiming to obtain a First Class Honours
degree in June this year. I am looking for a challenging role in the
Graphic Design sector when I graduate this year.
I have a wide range of experience with website design and
production, having made websites for a number of my friends and various
clients around the university. My current projects are working on
websites for a well-known Documentary Filmmaker, Florence Ayisi
(*) and
SYNPASE festival, a large-scale range of exhibitions in the Nottingham
and Derby area (website on-going, live version available

I am also currently undertaking a large scale project entitled
Upgrade to Film. For this, I have gathered together nearly 800
photographers on a Flickr group. I will be creating a series of books
documenting various movements in modern-day film photography, through
the use of my own images and those of the members of the group. So far,
I have got in contact with around 50 photographers and have been
granted rights to use their photos in the project. There will also be a
website and exhibition in the university.
