To whom it may concern,

I have been working with video for over 20 years. It has been mainly been under the genre of observational documentary, event coverage and campaign promotions for NGO and charities. I am a producer director having produced numerous pieces from concept to completion. I have two You Tube channels, a Vimeo channel and I contribute to ZoomIn TV (Netherlands) and The Real News (USA). My clients have included War on Want, The Project Management Institute (PMI), the Wellcome Trust. Kings College and the Natuonal Institute of Dramatic Art (Sydney).

I feel well suited for this role because I am particularly skilled in working on the fly and bringing out the best in my talent. Corporate video often has an educational element to it and because I am an empathetic communicator I tend to be especially proficient in corporate video.

Here I will sadly confess to a disclaimer.

I have edited using FCP for over 15 years and my expertise is in FCP 7. I have not transferred my skills to FCP 10 yet. I am awaiting the opportunity to. It would not be fair or right to imply otherwise. However if the job involves making videos from concept to conclusion I can assure you that the work would be ready on time as I increase my skills in FCP 10. I will not hold production back. If you have old software.. I would want to be able to use that until such a time as I self train on teh new software on my clock.
