ABOUT
Description
Charity Hall of Fame sought to create a groundbreaking digital space that celebrates the social pioneers who have made the UK a better place for all. As a brand design agency specialising in crafting compelling identities, we led the comprehensive branding initiative, encompassing brand strategy, logo design, guidelines development, social media marketing, web design, and brand implementation. Through meticulous research, strategic design thinking, and collaborative iterations, we developed a captivating brand identity that not only celebrated these unsung heroes but also positioned Charity Hall of Fame as a pioneering force in the digital landscape.
Challenge
Existing initiatives in the market lacked a cohesive, modern brand identity and failed to effectively showcase the stories of social pioneers. Charity Hall of Fame needed a recognisable, memorable brand that would inspire public engagement and support for the celebrated changemakers, while differentiating itself from competitors.
Strategy
We conducted a thorough discovery process, including a client questionnaire and competitive audit, to gather insights into the organisation's values, mission, target audience, and desired brand perception. We crafted a brand strategy aligned with Charity Hall of Fame's objectives and developed user personas to guide design decisions. The "Celebrating the Champions of Charity" brand idea served as the guiding light for the subsequent design process.
Creative
We embarked on the ideation phase, exploring three distinct brand concepts: "The Illuminaries," "The Pioneers Prize," and "The Changemakers." The client gravitated towards "The Illuminaries" concept, which we refined based on feedback. The final brand identity features a sleek logo, vibrant colour scheme, modern typography, powerful photography, and the iconic halo motif – a symbol of moral enlightenment and virtue given a modern twist. The brand identity was seamlessly applied across various touchpoints, creating a cohesive, memorable brand experience.
Results
The Charity Hall brand identity stands as a beacon, illuminating the stories of unsung heroes and inspiring a new generation of changemakers. Through extensive research, collaborative ideation, and iterative design, we created a powerful, impactful identity that celebrates social pioneers, engages audiences, and positions Charity Hall of Fame as a unique voice in the market. This project is a testament to the transformative potential of human-centred design and the power of storytelling in inspiring and mobilising communities.
Client Testimonial
“IMP have been a total joy to work with. Right from the outset they spent time getting to know us and identifying our needs. They took us through a process that helped us to really understand the needs of our new brand and what was needed to achieve our goals. They led us through a comprehensive brand development proposal which totally captured our aims and mission. As we didn’t have a particular sense of what we wanted our brand to look like we were very reliant on their creative leadership and were not disappointed. All options presented were useable and we had a tough choice to choose just one! The one we went with has so far worked out brilliantly, as a distinctive and original brand that has helped us to establish our new venture quickly and with positive impact. IMP also delivered a website using a platform of our choice that has meant we can maintain and update it with ease. In addition they provided a comprehensive brand guide, which has enabled us to confidently brief marketing and comms agencies. Plus a presentation template and stationary - basically everything we need to get our new charity venture off to a flying start.
Working with the team has been such a fun experience and their professionalism, creativity, patience and attention to detail has been exceptional along with great follow up support. The world’s first Charity Hall of Fame has a fantastic foundation to build on that has been made possible in no small part to IMP - we are so very grateful!”
