Hi, I'm Soma. Just like that Smashing Pumpkins & The Strokes song!
Like fate, my life has been intertwined with art and the creative fields even before I was born. My father is one of Indonesia's graphic design pioneers and a key figure in Indonesia's art education scene. From the beginning, my days are filled with music, art, cinema, and literature. This home advantage has shaped my perspective on life from a creator's point of view.
This thirst to create has guided me in my 18 years of working in the industry, and quite an unusual journey in that matter also. I started as a Digital Content Writer before moving on to Social Media Management. This is where my creative flair flourish and got promoted as Digital Creative Group Head and eventually Creative Director. These experiences have shaped how I think about creative Ideas, to do it in a way that always connected with the digital world we lived in today.
This includes my working experience in creating concepts for digital campaigns, TVC production, video productions, microsites concept & copywriting, social media content, brand strategy, and digital activations amongst others.
Living in Jakarta my whole life, I'm ready to expand and open opportunities abroad where an insight into urban Asian cultures is needed. Since I believe, we're becoming this one global culture where although the facade may be different, the understanding of connection and creativity remains universal.
