Iltug has more than 17 years experience in the graphic arts. Inspired by classical Ottoman texts and artwork in his native Turkey, Iltug earned a Bachelor in Fine Arts with a concentration on traditional Islamic calligraphy from Dokuz Eylul University in Izmir, Turkey. In this course of study, he benefitted from the blend of a classical European fine arts education and the opportunity to study under the direction of leading scholars of Islamic art. Both of these influences remain visible in his work today.After relocating to New York in the mid-1990s, Iltug spent 14 years at Grey Worldwide where he worked with some of the agency's leading creative, art and account directors on the design, development and production of advertisements, logos, branding materials and a wide variety of graphic elements.
