About me

My name is Ida Hay [ee-dah hey], I am an illustrator, visual designer, muralist and artist based in BC, Canada.
I started drawing as soon as I was old enough to hold a pen. Since then, I have had a strong passion for decorating the world around me and making it a little more beautiful and joyful than how I found it, for both myself and others. My work aims to spark inspiration and curiosity, encouraging the viewer to feel included in something bigger and helping people see the beauty in this world.
I help my clients realize the limitlessness of what they could only imagine. I have a constant itch to create what has never been seen before yet somehow feels like home.

I have always been colour sensitive, already as a young child my family noticed my apparently special relationship to colours and later on it has been suggested that I am probably a tetrachromat. Simply put, this means to possess an extra channel for perceiving colour in your eye (four channels instead of the normal three).
