About me
In addition to 3 years professional design training, I have over 10 years of hands-on experience, including 3 years as a production manager (after 2 weeks, I reduced the production cycle from 7 days down to 3) - I have also led a 9-person team on a £100,-month multimedia CD-ROM lifecycle. Additionally, in 2006 I secured and managed a large website (involving art direction, programming, external suppliers, reporting, and outsourced labour).
I have just completed a rich content viewer in Actionscript 2.0, containing hi-res images, 360 rotations and FLV video imported at runtime from XML files.
I have consistently added value and extended key brands in this emerging media-space. A team player and self-managing, I have shown initiative in pre-empting problems, as well as increasing the efficiency of existing systems. I have a keen eye for detail (specifically with template-based implementation), I have strong abilities in reporting and documentation, and my experience in teaching has enabled me to target potential points of risk within projects, and to foster a support network. I have client-facing skills, and my freelance experience enables me to "pick up the reigns", and quickly slot-in to a team environment.
I was a finalist in the Brand Republic/XchangeTeam 2006/7 Freelancer of the Year.
