Dear Sir/Madam,

As a dedicated user interface designer of 15 years experience, I have provided the bridge between user and system since before UX was even recognised as an essential part of the product creation process.

For the most part, I have worked in the pro audio industry and designed UI for some of the most recognisable products in that field, but a little over a year ago, I made the decision to broaden my experience and look for challenges in other industries. This is because the thing I am most passionate about is understanding people, how they think and feel and need, and how a system can come out to meet those needs. I believe good UX should leave palpable sense of satisfaction in its user and a good UI designer should be able to do this regardless of the purpose of the system.

In my endeavours I have acquired many skills in requirements research and UI design, and with my last position at Micron, I had begun to explore the implementation side, architecting and developing embedded web applications (HTML5 and associated technologies) for storage appliances. Unfortunately, due to Micron's changing corporate strategy, my role is now redundant.

Therefore, it was with great interest that I read about your vacancy and hope you will consider my CV.
