Profile
I have been an international designer for 28 years, providing a mixture of
design, publishing, PR and marketing solutions within the industry.
My career to date has given me an in-depth knowledge of the
profession, producing a spectrum of work for design for print and web.
I consider myself a hands on designer involved in the whole creative
process, dealing directly with the client, organising briefs, dealing with
staff right through to handling the final print production. My experience
has seen me running my own small design business to managing an
in-house design department.
I have been involved in many creative projects both here in England
and overseas, working on many leading brand names handling all the
aspects of a design project from start to finish.
As an experienced designer I strive to obtain the highest standards, I
adapt quickly to any situation, am self-motivated and always focus on
achieving goals, both personally and professionally.
Expertise
Working on over 500 adverts, 20 brochures, All Point of Sale and Exhibition material in one year.
Account Managing a leading educational publishing company.
Produced all the sales and design literature for a busy design and advertising department for a leading independent tour operator.
10 years successful international design work based in France.
Programme literacy: Fully conversant in industry standard design applications such as QuarkXpress 9, Illustrator 5.5, Indesign 5.5, Photoshop 5.5, Painter, Freehand, Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite of applications, specialising in Word and animated PowerPoint presentations.
A good understanding of data tables/structure and database management.
A general knowledge of Dreamweaver.
Work on both Mac's and PC's.
Account Handling, Contracting, negotiating and budget controls.
General copy writing.
Handle complete design process from conception through to final print, with over 28 years experience in design-for-print.
