About me

In July I am hoping to gain a 2:1 in Magazine Journalism and Feature Writing at Southampton Solent University. In September I will be beginning a MA in International Journalism at Bournemouth University. I hope that this MA will help to mould me into a more complete journalist.

In my three years studying Magazine Journalism and Feature Writing at Southampton Solent Univeristy I have found I have gained many skills in the aspects of journalism which I can offer a potential employer.

I have taken on many different aspects of journalism to help to mould myself into a well rounded journalist. I have helped to produce two magazines for magazine design modules. I have also taken on a photograhpy module to help myself with sourcing and editing images.
I am highly learned in Adobe Photoshop, design programs such as Quarkxpress and Adobe Indesign, as well as web development tools such as Dreamweaver. Using Dreamweaver I have also helped to design a website from scratch with three other members of my student team.
These forays into design have also taught me to work well within a team and to become a realiable team member when it comes to producing results that work as a business.
I have also gained worked as a intern and freelance work with Big Cheese Magazine.
